The US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is having a workshop called “The Dangers of ‘Gender-Affirming Care’ for Minors” on July 9, 2025, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

From the description:

The workshop will help the FTC to understand whether consumers are being or have been exposed to false or unsupported claims about “gender-affirming care” and to gauge the harms consumers may be experiencing.

The workshop will be livestreamed and in-person. According to FTC:

For the safety of participants, in-person attendance at the event will be invitation only. Members of the public or press wishing to attend in person should email healthcareworkshop@ftc.gov to indicate interest. To access the building, invited attendees should plan to arrive early and bring valid ID.

Hmmm. I wonder why FTC has to take these precautions…
