But first, this one is about the upcoming FIFA [Men’s] World Cup in Philadelphia.
NOT ONCE does the [Philadelphia] Inquirer’s FIFA article mention Males’ Anti-Female Violence against women & girls. The article’s discussion of homeless people is sex-neutralized so as not to bring attention to the realities that homeless women face everyday on our streets. Since they are an invisible group to many, the city sweeps right over their existence because of the intersection of their female sex and financial access. Notice how sex-neutralization is used in a myriad of ways against women and girls.

In April, the NFL Draft happened in Pittsburgh. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette published a similar woman-erasing sex trafficking article to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
