NAIA Stops Men From Competing with Women
Mainstream media acts shocked and surprised at sane policy.
The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletes did a perfectly sane and reasonable thing when it moved to make sure its competitions are single-sex. Women athletes have a right to compete against each other in single-sex competition. Statistics indicate that an overwhelming number of Americans, including Democrats, agree with this policy.
However, if you read the news coverage of their decision, you’d think something was wrong, and the men bullying their way into female competition are somehow being discriminated against. This is because nearly every media outlet has bought into the lie that men can opt into womanhood. They refer to males who identify as women as women or transwomen, and they rarely ask the question why these men can’t or won’t compete in the men’s leagues.
This is why the canard of “inclusive language” has been so dangerous for women and girls. It allows men to unfairly control the narrative.
We applaud the NAIA for standing up for women and girls, and we hope the NCAA follows suit. If you’re interested in advocating for single-sex sports, get involved with ICONS. They do great work.
We also encourage everyone who knows the importance of biological sex to call out reporters and editors for their inaccurate coverage and their bizarre belief that men can be women or vice versa. It’s damaging and dangerous.
Great news! Mainstream media just wants a controversial story. So glad they finally have one.
