Happy Pride Month, everybody!
Yes, it’s nearly June, when the alphabet-soup agitators have seized what should be a celebration of LGB acceptance and love and transformed (get it?) it into a complete corporate circus combined with personal fetishes on literally on parade.
As a lesbian, I used to enjoy Pride marches. They used to be about fun and friends and family. Now they’re the exact opposite. Now Pride makes LGB people look bad. Very, very bad. Any readers who have attended Pride during the last 10 years or so know exactly what I mean.
PA Governor Josh Shapiro (D) has issued a “Fairness and Tolerance” message for Pride Month. FSR, I couldn’t find it on his official governor’s website, but it’s in the alphabet-soup media. If you’re interested, you can read it here. I don’t think any reasonable person would see anything wrong with it if
LGBTQIA+ weren’t synonymous with TQ+
TQ+ didn’t supersede and erase LGB
TIMs (trans-identifying males) didn’t supersede and erase women.
On May 20, 2025, Governor Shapiro established a “direct mobile number, which allows him and members of his Administration to communicate directly with Pennsylvanians on important updates and hear from them on issues impacting them and their families.” From an email I received:
“Interested in joining the thousands of Pennsylvanians who text Governor Shapiro? All you have to do is text JOIN to 717-788-8990. Make sure you follow the prompts after you text to continue receiving messages from the Governor.
“Additionally, Governor Shapiro now has two WhatsApp Channels -- one in English and one in Spanish. These channels will provide direct updates on news, services, and initiatives -- helping state government meet Pennsylvanians where they are online….
“The Governor’s Constituent Affairs Office is the best resource to assist Pennsylvanians with state government services, and can be reached by calling 717-787-2500 or online at pa.gov/governor/contact .”
So, dear readers, please sign up for the Governor’s texts and let him know we do NOT want legislation denying women’s sex-based rights, especially the (UN)Fairness Act.
On May 19, 2025, Representative Malcolm Kenyattta, D-181, circulated a memo about The Fairness Act, which he intends to reintroduce in the General Assembly. Briefly, the (UN)Fairness act adds sexual orientation and “gender identity” to Pennsylvania’s existing anti-discrimination laws. If not for the GI parts, The Fairness Act would actually be fair. But we all know what will happen if GI is there: it will erase women and girls. Whenever TIMs’ “rights” conflict with women’s rights, women always lose. Always.
No one should be a target of discrimination or abuse for any reason. However, to be fair to women and girls, the bill needs to define women as a biological sex class with rights to our own single-sex facilities, prisons, domestic violence and rape services, education, and athletics. Anything else revokes the rights our foremothers fought for and achieved.
Alphabet-soup agitators are having a lobby day in Harrisburg for the (UN)Fairness Act on June 3, 2025, including a “family-friendly drag show.” By all means — be sure the kids see men portraying hypersexualized caricatures of women so that the kids will learn that objectifying women is normal and natural and that they should do it too. That’s what fairness really means.
You can read about the lobby day here.
Finally, many readers have heard about the misogynist fiasco that was our meeting with Senator John Fetterman’s staff in Washington, DC, last week. More about that in our next post.
Thanks to EK for the lobby day info.
Thank you for your dedication to post about what our legislators are up to in PA! It's always difficult and time consuming to advocate for women's rights in this state. So many of us are just tired of trying but your posts always boost moral so we can fight another day!
Ugh, what total jackasses Democrats are. There was a time when I might have had something more to say about it, but we've really just come down to the fact that they've all got to be voted out as quickly as possible.
