With the all the usual human-caused crap occurring on our planet, these important dates will probably pass unnoticed by the mainstream media. Nevertheless, they are critical for women today.
First, the happy anniversary.
The original Title IX went into effect on June 23, 1972. Kara Dansky writes:
Today, I write to celebrate yesterday’s [June 23, 1972] Title IX anniversary. Women and girls will continue to exist as a sex class, and we will continue to fight for our sex-based rights and for material reality.
Read Ms Dansky’s entire post, including a brief history of Presidents Obama’s and Biden’s attempts to erase sex with “gender identity,” at the link above.
Now, the unhappy anniversary.
Today, June 24, 2025, is the anniversary of SCOTUS's overturning of Roe v Wade, denying women our fundamental human right to bodily autonomy and moral agency. Ann Telnaes, a Pulitzer Prize-winning former political cartoonist at the Washington Post, has two excellent cartoons about this at the above link. Women are dying from lack of necessary reproductive medical care, from abortions denied to septic miscarriages to a comatose woman kept alive as an incubator. I don’t have to tell you, dear readers, what a catastrophe this is for American women.
Finally, from the this-can’t-possibly-be-true files, a man in the UK has threatened a rabbit rescue charity because he doesn’t like that they follow some allegedly “transphobic” Xitter accounts. Yes, you read that correctly — some random dude has gotten a Rabbit. Rescue. Charity. in trouble with UK authorities because he doesn’t like the Xitter accounts they follow. The link describing the entire inexplicable and narcissistic incident is above.
Please watch the adorable bunny video!!
Wow. I had no idea.
