WoLF, WDI, & LGBA went to DC
A summary of our 2026 sex-realist in-person lobbying
Some of the 24 women who lobbied Congress for women’s sex-based rights in Washington, DC, in May 2026. Some women could not appear in the photo for personal and/or professional reasons. From WoLF.
WoLF’s Successful 2nd trip to DC to advocate for women
In addition, this year’s group was marked by a wonderful diversity of life experiences, from college students, construction professionals, and Ph.D.’s. We were a multi-generational team too; women in their twenties to mid-seventies gathered, each with the shared mission to be heard. Each here to convey a very real mandate: Womanhood is not negotiable. [Emphasis in the original.]

Our tenacious women presented facts from WoLF's most recent poll of likely 2026 voters. We are the majority.
WDI also went to DC.
There were 32 meetings over the course of the week. Of those, 13 were with the offices of Republicans and 19 were with Democrats. Altogether the Congressional offices represented 16 states.
Unlike [last year], this year there were no issues with last-minute meeting cancellations. While they were certainly not all receptive or engaged, everyone we spoke to was polite.

LGBA reported on the trip on their YouTube channel.
The Washington Examiner covered our DC trip. I don’t like their headline. We are not “underground.” We’re up front!
WoLF’s organizers said they found a friendly audience in their Republican hosts but were dismayed to see the Democratic side not nearly as receptive.
“The Democrats have been a severe disappointment,” WoLF’s founder, Lierre Keith, reported at its roundup session.
Sarah on Substack posted this article about our DC trip:
Of course, this shouldn’t come as a surprise from offices and staff who firmly emphasize that they are there to protect *all* women…as in the “male ones” included, from whom actual women need real protections. Nor should it come as a surprise from staffers who claim that their Congress member adheres to the belief that “all issues are women’s issues,” proving yet again that, nonsensical sentiment aside, when one cannot define what a woman is, one will never be able to define what women’s issues truly are…and therefore, one will never be able to successfully fight for women’s issues themselves.
Sadly, the only Pennsylvania Member of Congress who met with us was Rep Chris Deluzio, D-PA-17. Staffer Faith Palguta was friendly and receptive. Your Humble Author participated via speaker phone, and four women were there in DC. We’ll share more detail in a separate post.
Senator Fetterman declined to meet with us via form email:
Thank you for your interest in meeting with Senator Fetterman and for taking the time to reach out. Unfortunately, due to the overwhelming demand for the Senator's time, our team has determined that it is not possible for Senator Fetterman to meet with your group at this time. Please understand that this is not a reflection of the importance of your concerns, but rather the unfortunate reality of the Senate schedule.
Senator McCormick’s office did not reply to our repeated meeting requests.
A huge thank you to everyone who made our DC lobbying trip possible!!
We’ll return next year!
