Many advocates for men who identify with women think they are sticking up for the marginalized. The idea that men with gender dysmorphia and/or a fetish for women’s underwear are somehow the most oppressed people on the planet has been pushed relentlessly by governments, politicians, reporters, and other evangelical acolytes of gender ideology.
However, we would argue that incarcerated women, many of whom are not white, many of whom are impoverished, and many of whom are imprisoned for drug offenses, represent a truly marginalized group. The same goes for female victims of domestic abuse and homelessness. So, we argue that forcing vulnerable women to share their most intimate spaces, including prisons and shelters, with men is a ghastly human rights violation.
Our friends at the Women’s Liberation Front are putting together a webinar on this topic. It’s called “Women with Nowhere to Go” and it will be on April 16th at 7pm EST. You can sign up here.
