Bob Casey Touts Tax-Payer Funds for Pharma Marketing
in the guise of a LGBTQ+ Center in Philadelphia.

It’s the holy month of Pride, and Senator Bob Casey is out there stumping for the TQA+ votes via a $400,000 grant to the Mazzoni Center, which started as a health care center for gays and lesbians but has broadened its mission to telling effeminate gays and butch lesbians that a mistake was made when they were born.
Don’t get us wrong, providing health care, including drugs to people with HIV, is an important mission. No quibbles there, but what is so insidious about the force teaming of the +TQA movement with the LGB is that actual life-saving care is lumped in with lucrative quackery.
This center gives out puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones to those who believe themselves trapped in the wrong body, which it can’t be said often enough, is nonsense. It even offers something called Femme University, to teach men how to embody ridiculous sexist stereotypes so they can "live as” women.
In addition to votes, what could Casey’s motivation be?
According to KFF Health News, at the time of this writing, Casey’s campaign has gotten $25,000 from AbbVie, Inc., the manufacturer of Lupron. Lupron is a chemical castration drug that has been rebranded as a puberty blocker under the banner of the trans movement. There’s plenty of information about the drug’s side effects and why it shouldn’t proscribed for a mysterious case of having the wrong soul in the wrong body.
So, it’s a win for Casey. It’s a win for pharmaceutical companies. It’s just not a win for those struggling with gender distress who will be denied real mental help in favor of snake oil with vicious side effects. We suggest you tell him so.
Such an informative post Melissa! This deserves to be shared everywhere.
This dirty dealing behind our backs is also not a win for tax payers. Those of us struggling each day to make ends meet would benefit from a Senator who stands up for all of us not just a chosen few who have managed to wiggle their way into the pockets of our government. Of course Big Pharma ends up winning. Don't they always?
