Thanks! Campaign Finance Reform is an essential issue and I do not think the trans movement would have gotten a foothold if it weren't for Citizens United and Corporations as People. Money is not speech and campaign money needs to be regulated.

This dirty dealing behind our backs is also not a win for tax payers. Those of us struggling each day to make ends meet would benefit from a Senator who stands up for all of us not just a chosen few who have managed to wiggle their way into the pockets of our government. Of course Big Pharma ends up winning. Don't they always?

Campaign Finance Reform - that boring fiscal issue that just doesn't seem to excite people is the most essential issue of our time. I don't think the trans movement would have gotten a foothold in the Democratic Party if it weren't for Citizens United and Corporations as People. There needs to be a regulation - an amendment if necessary - regulating campaign funding and campaigns. It's legalized bribery and it's impossible to win an election if you don't play the game. And as for Big Pharma, they already have huge markets and multiple essential products. They don't need to create markets, but their greed is breathtaking. We should have all listened to the 1990s Dad movie classic, The Fugitive.

Money isn't speech.

You are so right. Corporations run our country not people. It's why I have to support RFK JR this November. No other candidate is calling out the harm of Citizens United and no other candidate has a plan to stop the corporate-run duopoly. He is a breath of fresh air. I realize they will do anything they can to stop him. I just hope that he brings enough votes so that future Independents can successfully run. It's the only way we will ever even come close to getting money out of our political system.
