False Alarm Cancels Drag Queen Story Hour
Not how it should have happened.
The Drag Queen Story Hour event in Lancaster was canceled, but not for any reason we would want. Police dogs sniffed out a potential bomb, which turned out not to be a bomb. The police also identified some email threats.
We’ve made our position clear that we don’t believe adult entertainers from a highly sexualized and misogynistic subculture should entertain children. It’s bad for the kids. It’s bad for the entertainers.
However, we also believe no one should live in fear, and violence and/or threats of violence are wrong, always. We don’t want anyone to be hurt.
