A lot of this is happening because people don't pay attention to school board elections, or because they think that, because they vote Democrat in state and federal elections, they should vote Democrat for school board, as well.

North Penn, specifically, has been ruled by "North Penn Neighbors for Progress" for more than six years now. I can only imagine that initially, this was part of a wave of anti-Republican sentiment that was primarily related to national politics.

Please, pay attention. Learn about the candidates and ask questions. I can't guarantee that the Republicans in any given race will be any good, but I can pretty much guarantee that the Democrats will be garbage.
